Zion River RV Resort, Virgin UT
The drive to Virgin UT was easy, though it included driving through a pass into Hurricane UT. The campground was nice but the sites were tight. We upgraded to premium to get some shade, it was hot, in mid 90’s. We were only staying for two days before moving to Watchman in Zion. Good time to do our chores - shopping, laundry and then enjoy the pool! There was a hot tub as well, I don’t understand how you can sit in the hot tub with 90-degree weather …Tom!
There’s BLM land along Virgin River and we saw several trailers in dispersed campgrounds.
We discovered a great little place to eat in Hurricane, it’s River Rock Roasting Company.. Great salads and sandwiches, baked goods and coffee. They had my favorite, the chickpea salad sandwich! The patio in the back overlooks the Virgin River, with wonderful views. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by.
Both of us were nervous about our site in Watchman, so we took a ride to take a look. Having the senior park pass helped and the ranger, though a bit confused, allowed us to drive through the campground. We saw the site and were very happy - no issues with landing tomorrow!
