Yarberry Campground, TN

Yarberry Campground, TN

The campground is west of greater Knoxville area, on Fort Loudoun Lake.  The lake was created in the 40’s by TVA and is part of continuous waterway all the way to Paducah, KY, where we camped last year.

The lake area where we stayed is shallow, great for kayaking and pontoon boats.  It was great to relax and enjoy the views. I needed some quiet time to walk, relax and make some quesadillas. Weather was certainly warmer but the wind was unrelenting.

We watched the weather reports closely and decided to leave one day early.  The storm that is moving east this week seems to improve the more south and west you were. Very similar to our experience last year on the coast of Maine and Canada.

So off we go to Alabama!
